Ryan Ross, a 19 year old boy, runs away from his abusive dad and lives in a hotel for a month. Within that month, he becomes friends with a hotel staff member named Brendon Boyd Urie. They become friends and potentially lovers.

Brendon and Ryan have been friends on the internet for months, but they don't know the other's true identity. When they meet in real life, however, they immediately hate each other. AKA a You've Got Mail AU Set in the early/mid-2000s, different first meeting.

Joshua is always fretting over the "what ifs" in life, but never trusts his gut feeling because it's always wrong... at least until one summer afternoon when he, his friend Markl and cousin have nothing to do and dare each other to go touch the door of the house on the end of the street. The house everyone hated. For the first time, Joshua and Markl are at a loss to do when the strange little girl Alice forces them into playing a very dangerous game if they want Sharon back.
