It's the year 2100, and meeting your partner in REAL-LIFE has been illegal for 50 years - ever since the divorce rate reached a crippling 80 percent. Now, there's a new answer: SATE, the government initiative aimed at matching all 18-30 year-olds with their one true person. Their soulmate. The success rate is 99.9%. Sounds perfect, right? For 18 year-old Marianne, who's parent were matched by SATE, it definitely is NOT. She wants experiences. She wants adventures. She wants mistakes. A soulmate? No thank you. Not right now. But since most people don't receive a match until they're 25, she's sure she still has time to explore all of that. What she isn't expecting, is for her match to arrive on her 18th birthday.
