Selfie apocalypse (much worse than zombie apocalypse a myth duh)
By james a. galgano
All these gimmicks, gadgetry are foolish apps found mean dirt.
They keep us preoccupied with ourselves with foolish selfies impaled.
Upon endless pike where we find ourselves sharing nonsense from dawn
Until dark of night, as if it gave us worth though unworthy, we be
Seemingly lost and alone in eternal void of our soon eternity
Every vain photo we add every comment we reply incomplete.
Will never measure our true worth with all the replies bittersweets.
We will always be left with a thirst and voracious hunger though none avails.
Our lives will be lost upon this endless sea of naught where only sorrow prevails.
We have some foolish inclination those who see our images have some care.
But there are only empty comments, which only understate our despair.
This voids her in space and time offers no hope unless we find one reply
Which gives us cause to believe someone out there, cares but for what why?
Still one can observe this flow of endless expended effort to find emptiness implied.
So what then is the point of this narcissism chatter from dawn until night
Is there nothing we can spend our time upon beneath some gods given light.
