"...The 2nd favorite to win, is Lady T!" A male announcer spoke over the loudspeaker, a female voice, the second announcer speaking. "No doubt about it, it's been seen over and over again at this track, that one of her best qualities is her endurance. So, I'm looking to see a good race, coming from her today." "It's true that her endurance is rather incredible, but will it be enough to tackle 1,700 meters in wet dirt? I think it'll all come down to her rivals today! An how well they perform." Walking out of the tunnel as they finished their commentarial assessment, they move onto me, the crowd erupts into cheers and shouts upon my revealing. "Speaking of Rivals, we've got someone with no shortage of rivalry's! The crowd favorite! And the favorite to win!" The male announced, the female announcer taking over, as I do not wave to anyone, I keep my head down, my blank, almost empty expression told of confliction. Approaching the start area, where others lye in wait. "Lexington has been on a incredible winning streak this year, in fact he's never lost a single race yet, since his debut last Fall. Though, none of these races were graded. So today, will be his first Graded race. I wonder, will he be able to keep up this incredible momentum he's created?" "I'd say a better question isn't rather he can keep up, but rather will he be able to run well in the dirt in these conditions?" "Rather he can or can't, I'm confident that he's going to make tonight's race an incredible one"

Some people would kill to be the daughter/son of a Mafia family. But Maliyah on the other hand wanted a normal life. A life she could run around without worrying about anything. Maliyah Santoro, the one and only daughter out of four brothers Lorenzo, Dante, Luca and Matteo Santoro. The Santoro family was one of the most notorious Mafia families, known for their control over vast territories and their involvement in various illegal enterprises. From a young age, Maliyah was exposed to the inner workings of the family business, witnessing meetings with powerful allies and rivals, and learning the unspoken rules of their world. Despite the allure of wealth and authority, Maliyah yearned for something different. She longed for the freedom to make her own choices, to live a life untainted by the shadows of her family's reputation. While her peers were concerned with school dances and weekend outings, Maliyah was often preoccupied with the constant presence of bodyguards and the ever-looming threat of violence. The once cheerful talkative Maliyah suddenly became mute at the age of nine. Her brothers and mother would often wonder what had caused such a drastic change in her demeanor. They attributed it to the pressures of their world, yet they were at a loss on how to help her. If it was a secret she was hiding? If it was a trauma she had witnessed? The family could only speculate, as Maliyah kept her silence, retreating further into her own world. Follow along on the journey of Maliyah Santoro.

Y/N L/N, a brand new trainer at Tracen Academy and a long-term fan of Uma Racing, is given the opportunity to create a team and a name for himself. Among those at the academy, Mejiro McQueen is one of the few to be taken under Y/N's wing, which results in more than just training. With a new goal and job, Y/N is expected to produce results. Can he live up to the trainers of the past? Or will his newfound career and dream end early? ------ This is going to be my first attempt at writing something non-cringeworthy in years. I hope this book is what some of you fellow McQueen fans have been looking for. Feel free to give any feedback, much appreciated! Also, I will not be following the anime plot line too strictly, however I do intend to follow it loosely for sake of moving the plot along smoothly along with some McQueen time in there. Thank you for reading! Cover Art by Hare Konatsu on Pixiv Umamusume belongs to Cygames

"Why? Why are you doing this?" My voice broke at the end. Aariz remained stoic , emotionless. "This is how it was supposed to be." He turned to leave. "NO..no. You don't get to decide that. You can't leave . Not without any explanation ." I ran and stood in front of him. I don't care if I am looking desperate at this point. I want him to talk. "Say, Aariz." I said as my eyes teard up. "Tell me the truth." "I can't ." He looked tired. Painfully exhausted. "Then why did you do this? Why did you marry me?" My blood boiled , a sheer fury ran through my spine. "To let you go. " Then.. Then.. He went away . Just like that. Like he never came. ______________________________________ 'You should have let me in , not let me go Aariz. We could have made more memories together and I could have cherished those. Now we simply don't have the time." My eyes red, my voice wavering, my body shivering. "We will make the best use of the least time we have, Noor." His eyes promised me , just like his words.

A Small Life with a Very Loud Secret follows Eliya, a quiet clerk whose days pass in careful routines and deliberate simplicity. His life is small by design-measured meals, unremarkable work, and an apartment that leaves little trace of its occupant. From the outside, he appears ordinary, almost invisible. When a journalist arrives asking questions about an incident buried eight years earlier, Eliya is forced to confront a truth he has lived beside but never spoken aloud. As the past resurfaces through memory, silence, and public revelation, the story examines the cost of withholding truth and the quiet ways guilt reshapes a life. Told with restraint and moral depth, this short story explores responsibility, memory, and the tension between private survival and public truth, revealing how even the smallest lives can carry secrets loud enough to change everything.

He built everything in silence - a business worth millions, factories, a university, hundreds of lives resting on his decisions. He never spoke about it. And she never knew. She waited, believing silence was temporary. Believing distance had an explanation. Then the messages stopped. While she was counting days and fighting her own quiet battles, corruption was dismantling his world - carefully, legally, without mercy. He disappeared not by choice, but because everything he had built was being taken at once. She learned who he truly was only when it was already too late to ask questions. This is a story about waiting that turns into fear, about silence that hurts more than truth, about feelings that begin as anxiety and slowly become something deeper - something dangerously close to love. Sometimes love doesn't start with a touch. Sometimes it starts with silence .Based on true events

And when the seventh tone awakens inside her skull, the lights flicker- time stutters- and a voice whispers from the empty air: "Hear the seventh tone." Something is breaking. Something is calling. And Jiwoo is the only one who can hear it.

She grows up poor. Quiet. Unclaimed. Her mother died early, leaving behind nothing but the knowledge of how to stay small. Her father existed only as a hollow space in their lives. An absence that ate their food and sat between them at night. In their world of thin walls and counted coins, silence was the only thing that kept them alive. On her nineteenth birthday, a door finally opens. Her father takes her from a life of borrowed rooms and empty cupboards into a house built on marble and restraint. It is a place of locked wings and rules spoken without warmth. She is not a daughter here; she is the proof of a past mistake. She is the child who should have stayed invisible. The woman who runs the house sees her too clearly. She meets the girl's presence with a resentment that cuts deeper than cruelty, a silence sharper than any scream. Every cold glance is a reminder: you are what he wants to forget. This story is about what happens when poverty teaches you how to disappear. It is about the heavy, aching truth of living in a world where fairness was never promised. And it is about the most dangerous thing of all: loving someone you know you cannot have. Not loudly. Not bravely. But carefully. In the tiny, jagged pieces you keep hidden beneath your skin. If you have ever learned to survive by staying small, this story sees you. If you have ever loved from a distance because wanting more felt like a threat, this story understands you. The Mistress's Daughter is a dark, quiet novel about the cost of being born where you were never meant to belong and the strength it takes to exist anyway.
