Using the Holy Grail, a gift from a benefactor he would not know, Gilles de Rais attempted to resurrect Jeanne but was unable to. Far from disheartened, he instead created a new Jeanne out of the Grail itself, twisted by Gilles's wishes and feelings. Now their actions have created a road block in history, and thus, the Chaldean crew has a new event to handle.
