A girl is diagnosed with cancer at 14. She is now 16 and terminal. In this story she and her friends deal with and try to accept the fact as it becomes more apparent that she is dying. Daya starts out in a depressed state and her friends slowly drag her out of it. She then has a mission to make sure she is not forgotten. Her family and friends help her, but also have to learn to help themselves with the coming loss of this wonderful girl they have come to love so much.
