Halima Story She was taught that good girls stay quiet. That some truths are too heavy to say out loud. That love means carrying it alone. For 7 years, Halima kept Mama Bose's secret buried under "I'm fine." She smiled at family dinners. She answered when they called her. But every night, the silence got heavier. At 11:47 PM, the weight became too much. Her fingers shook. Her heart said _speak_. Her fear said _don't_. She chose anyway. This isn't just about what she said. It's about what it costs to finally say

Book about a young teenage girls trauma and her healing journey. How she managed to escape her situation alive and tell someone. Trigger Warning ⚠️ There are mentions of self-harm, bullying, fighting, CSA, and suicide. Please proceed with caution (or just pick a different book....) This book is emotional, and kind of like Girl In Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow or 13 Reasons Why.

"Uncle" is an African man with a prominent title that lacks inherent self-respect. "Uncles" are African men that prey on little girls instead of protecting them; they are African men that carry out acts of domestic violence; they are African men that disrespect women without a care. "Uncle", is an African man that is driven by toxic masculinity; a man that thinks he is entitled to every woman's body. Unfortunately, our African Aunties remain dormant and refuse to speak up about these precarious situations and in turn, they fail to put an end to these toxic behaviors. Instead, the blame is thrusted upon the victims and our African Aunties vehemently defend these African "Uncles".

Rajshree Anand is also mostly like your average teenage girl unless you count in her immoderately frank and excessively bold nature. How is she going to live with the societal standards which she finds absolutely absurd? Will she be successful in changing the people's frame of mind while also juggling her own private life with solving the problems of people around her or will she also be oppressed by the so called impeccable society to the point where she gives up? What happens when insecurities, torment and most importantly a BOY are thrown into the picture? Peep in to see if Rajshree changes the preposterous norms of the society which have been blindly followed by us hitherto. *NOTE* The characters in this book are purely fictional and I apologize in advance if at all the content offends anyone. Plagiarism will strictly NOT be encouraged.

SHORT STORY You know when you feel like you are drowning out in a stormy sea, in all the horror around you? That devilish voice screaming at you to restrict more, to cause yourself more pain? And then there is another voice, often much quieter, but still there, telling you to just let go and eat it all, to eat all the things you have been thinking about for so long? That is the voice you need to focus on and listen to. That voice is your life raft. Sometimes you have to be dragged so far out to sea, knocked down by the strong waves time and time again, so that fight that keeps you going will support you when you come to stand up, taller and stronger than you ever were before. We are kinder to our friends and pets than we are to ourselves. Especially when it comes to what we look like or our dreams and aspirations, or our delicate jiggly bits. A mental trick to help practice some self-love is think to yourself, if I would not say this to a friend then I should not say it to myself. Many of us have a devilish bullying voice inside, but you can choose whether to listen to it or not. The more listening time you give it the more it will be around. Start today by refusing to carry on playing - remember you are beautiful and deserve the stars, your body is amazing just the way it is, you do not need to change anything to achieve what you want to achieve. If you are finding this difficult get up a picture of your younger self, maybe from around 5 or 6 years old... Would you say the same things you are saying to yourself now to her? Remember all the excitement you felt and your hopes and dreams for your future. When you have negative thoughts look at that photo and give yourself permission to override that negativity. Our inner child is still in there, waiting and wishing to be nurtured and listened to.
