Halima Story She was taught that good girls stay quiet. That some truths are too heavy to say out loud. That love means carrying it alone. For 7 years, Halima kept Mama Bose's secret buried under "I'm fine." She smiled at family dinners. She answered when they called her. But every night, the silence got heavier. At 11:47 PM, the weight became too much. Her fingers shook. Her heart said _speak_. Her fear said _don't_. She chose anyway. This isn't just about what she said. It's about what it costs to finally say

"Uncle" is an African man with a prominent title that lacks inherent self-respect. "Uncles" are African men that prey on little girls instead of protecting them; they are African men that carry out acts of domestic violence; they are African men that disrespect women without a care. "Uncle", is an African man that is driven by toxic masculinity; a man that thinks he is entitled to every woman's body. Unfortunately, our African Aunties remain dormant and refuse to speak up about these precarious situations and in turn, they fail to put an end to these toxic behaviors. Instead, the blame is thrusted upon the victims and our African Aunties vehemently defend these African "Uncles".

"Hey look girls. It's the little skank." Whenever Jenny said anything she always had a devilish look on her face. I don't know why she only tries to knock down me. "Why do you constantly try to knock me down don't you see I'm already hurt?!" I said that with tears running down my face. "I. Could. Care. Less" everything after she said that was a blur.

Luna: The Girl Who Forgot How to Smile is a heartbreaking story about innocence stolen, trust shattered, and a girl forced to grow stronger than she ever wanted to be. At just ten years old, Luna experiences something she doesn't even have the words to understand. What she buries as a "bad dream" quietly shapes the way she sees the world. Years later, when she believes she has grown strong enough to face anything, another terrifying night reminds her that danger does not always come from strangers sometimes it lives next door. What follows is not just a story of survival, but of the invisible wounds that remain long after the world moves on. Through hospital walls, sleepless nights, silent panic attacks, and glass office buildings filled with judging eyes, Luna fights a battle no one can see. She struggles with fear, broken trust, and the haunting echoes of stories of other girls who never made it home. This novel dives deep into the psychology of trauma how it changes the way a woman walks, speaks, trusts, and loves. It explores the quiet strength it takes to wake up every day in a world that feels unsafe. But above all, this is not a story about weakness. It is a story about survival. About the courage to run. About the courage to stay. And about a girl who may have forgotten how to smile but never forgot how to fight. A deeply emotional journey that will leave readers in tears, questioning society, and holding their loved ones a little tighter.

This is a story of my life up till now and everything I've been through so far that I can remember. This is for all readers because it is a true story. These things did happen to me. And if you are going through the same stuff I will ask of you please seek help and if you already to don't lie to your therapist. Always tell someone not a kid, tell an adult. I should have spoken up when this first started happening but I didn't because I was scared of the consequences. But now I know you can't get in trouble for this because it's not your fault. I'll let you get to reading now. Thank you for reading, Sincerely, Anonymous
