James T. Kirk-Captain of the USS Enterprise and his first officer Spock are into the first year of their five year mission in space. Jim is still recovering from after Kahn and is plagued by nightmares. They receive a mission of search and rescue of a crashed Federation vessel. Once they touch down on the planet where the beacon emanated from their whole world is turned upside down and what they discover can threaten everything they know and tear the federation apart. It's the beginning of the end for Kirk and his crew. "Jim felt like he was floating, hearing voices everywhere from all over. Most were Spocks and others Bones. One begged him to wake up and could feel a warmth on his hand and then it was gone in an instant. There was pain all over and he was screaming at the top of his lungs. After what felt like eternity it started to be less painful, like he was pulling himself together. He saw another version of himself but with brown eyes and much older with an older Spock as well, laughing to one another. Then he was falling towards the ground that he couldn't see except darkness. Falling and falling until-"

When McCoy sends Kirk a picture of Spock he edited, will Kirk be able to speak to Spock normally without seeing him as kawai? SPIRK FANFIC This is an old work from some years ago. Spock from the Star Trek reboots goes on a five year mission on his own with no other crew members and five years turns into twenty years and he ages as well as the rest of the crew . Including Jim . Jim and Spock have been working out their 'relationship ' ,but they hit a bump in the road before Spock left . After the five years were up Jim lost faith that he'll never see his beloved Spock again . Jim came to the thought Spock was ....gone from him. Jim moved on with Carol and had a son who is fifteen and is working with him on Starfleet Enterprise . McCoy never wanted to see Jim move on from Spock because McCoy knew Jim loved Spock but McCoy had to move on too. This story will start off at the day before Spock has to leave and it'll go from there .
