JL is the library's resident enigma-quiet, brilliant, and perfectly content staying in the shadows of the back row. They exist in two different worlds, connected only by a series of snarky doodles on crumpled paper and a shared 4:00 PM study slot. But when a borrowed neon hoodie and a late-night iced matcha lead to a confession under the glow of a dashboard, the lines between "Athlete" and "Honor Student" begin to blur. In a world of high school labels and viral group chats, can the boy who is always being watched and the boy who prefers to hide find a rhythm of their own?

"No special privileges for royals, Gaspar. Get your grades up or you're expelled." JL Gaspar isn't well-known to many in his university's psychology department. He blends in with the crowd, almost too easily. However, the few who do know him? They say that once you're entranced by him, you'll never truly snap out of his spell. He recently picked up a web novel about a magic academy, and they joke around that the novel taught him his charms. So imagine his surprise when he gets thrown into the story after dying a pathetic death, only to realize that the characters have been replaced with his friends. Not only that, he was also the main villain of the story. You know what? That's fine! Continue life as normal. Study, eat, sleep, ignore old friends, dodge plot points, what's the problem? He sucks at magic. JL needs a tutor, or he's going to repeat another semester. Unfortunately, the only top students eligible to be his tutor are his ex-friends.
