When a bunch of Gems wash up on the shore in front of the temple, the Crystal Gems suspect that there's something else other than them that's hunting down the corrupted Gems. More than that, it turns out that the being they're looking for lives right outside, in the ocean, in fact.

how peculiar! how will that sit with the crystal gems? -------- yeah, this seems like a fun concept to play with. if a cluster can have sentience why not a gem of corruption? But since it's corruption, you can't expect your intelligence to be very high. Not at first at least. ;3 also, when I mean the entire show's cast. not just universe himself.
