I slowly walked down the stairs,shaking. Now I know why he wouldn't let me into that closet. My grip tightened on my backpack strap as I reached the last step. I have to play it off. He can't know that I went into that closet. I wonder if his parents know. I walked into the dining room where Jack was helping set the table. He turned around as I entered and I forced a smile.
