Through the Storm: A Memoir of Loss, Sacrifice, and Unshaken Faith It's a personal memoir written by the author for his four children, tracing his family's life from his birth in 1981 through the present day. The book opens with his parents - a teacher and a nurse who built a stable home - before a war tears that stability apart. After his father's death, his mother is left to raise three children essentially alone, stretching a small wage to cover rent, school fees, and meals, and the author credits her quiet, repeated discipline (not one dramatic act of heroism) with holding the family together.
