Ever wonder what it's all about? I need to try and work it out. I'll just begin with the deer. This is about what and who and where strength comes from.

The Sorcerer reappeared in a hall of the castle. He needed to be away from the Swordbearers' magic-although he was ashamed to admit it, the forces he had come in contact with were more powerful than he had first thought. He'd been confident that, since the Swordbearers were young, they wouldn't know their power enough to wield it effectively against his experienced magic. It took about five minutes for him to work off the freezing spell then, shivering, he made his way down the hall of the castle and, muttering mysterious words, took the arrow out of his chest. His shoulder ached with every step, and he chanted under his breath to reverse the effects of his burn. The Magician's meeting with the Lords and Ladies of the Middle Ground had probably reached the end of feasting and was moving on to more important matters. In the meeting room tables were overturned, food and drinks were splattered on the floor, and well- the place was a general disaster. Isirien stopped in his tracks. "I sense your presence," he said. "Come out of hiding." "My, you've changed brother," a female voice said as someone in a black hood appeared. "I can't hide from you like I used to. But neither can you hide from me." "Soul Thief," Isirien said with dread of recognition. "Why are you here?" She drew back her hood, revealing her pale and dead features. Her eyes were empty and ghostly hollow. "Allow me to show you. I escaped the tombs where the Three Swordbearers imprisoned me. But the descendants are arising."

About a month ago, I had this dream.. which started out as a nightmare but then turned -by God's Grace- into a dream of Jesus comforting me with a kind of Peace that only He can give. It was one of the most meaningful dreams I've ever had- I remember the feeling of safety that I experienced in that moment as He woke and soothed me. :') It was during that dream that I felt called to write this poem in gratitude. There's also been many times that I've prayed during a nightmare -sometimes while not even knowing it's just a dream- and every single time, right when I pray is when I wake up. God wakes me up, making everything okay, and this pattern has definitely taught me to cry out to Him. That's the meaning behind the second paragraph in this poem. I've never really thought of myself as much of a poet. I barely have any experience around this type of writing. The fact that this came to me so easily and the way I could express so much emotion through it really shows that it was the Holy Spirit's work through me- it was a sudden gift and I'm grateful to have been chosen to write this. :) May all Glory be to Him! <3

This Good Friday, may we devote all our praise and affection and gratitude to the Savior who in His Love for us bore our sins and our pain. Jesus is Worthy of all Praise. ✝️ Please reflect on the depth and love of His Sacrifice as you read these words. I'm so so grateful for the Holy Spirit giving the words for this poem to me and writing this through me, the Truth and depth of Jesus' Sacrificial Love for us all is truly incredible, beyond understanding, and I'm honored to express it. The Lord is so gracious- He alone Saved me and now He's the One enabling me to praise Him through His Spirit. His Love is incredible. Jesus loves you, so so much, He loves us all. To be willing to bear all our pain for us. How Good and Merciful is He! I thought to myself, I could not possibly be the only teenage girl out there who wants to grow deeper and stronger in faith. I could not possibly be the only teenage girl out there who is struggling in living the Christian life. There has got to be other teenage people out there who can relate with what I am going through. So I had this idea of posting this for people out there to see. This is not a devotional. This is more like a faith journal. How and what I write here is like how I write in my notebook that is just between me and God. Only, I'm sharing it with you.

God has a plan for you, and is always calling you to do things even when you are not aware of it. I am definitely not a master when it comes to religion. I don't have a degree in Christian studies, nor am I old enough to even attend college. I'm just a young, 14 year old Christian girl, however I have a strong relationship with God. I have seen God working through people in my life to help make this world a better place. In this book I plan to talk about how God called me to follow his plan, and hopefully help you grow in your own faith journey as well.
