It isn't up to her to decide when to come for you. Life does that. Not Death, not Destiny, not The Fates and not The Gods. Life decides. Until she doesn't. Until she crosses the line, she goes too far. So they trap her away. Hide her. Fearful of the day, she becomes free. Fearing the day, she comes for them. And end their lives. And who are they to stop her?

A family ridiculed and feared by other mortals purely because of what they could do. They were called demons, spawns of Satan (much to Lucifer's amusement) and many other names, but only one stuck. Nekros. Those who've long since passed thought it fit the family perfectly, as where they went death followed, which couldn't be further from the truth. The family did everything they could to save people, but when dealing with creatures that call the shadows their home, there was only so much the family could do. Even when they were at the height of their power and were many in number. They were only human. The Sandman/Peacemaker au fic.
