Sanyukta licked her lips and Randhir eyes fall on her lips and stayed there. If she can't get out of here, then she better stay at different corner then him. With that idea in mind, she turned around. But a gentle grasp around her wrist hold her back. Fuck.. She knew it will be a cold experience if they ever touched but the waves after waves of cold sensation melted something inside her. She turned around with a little gulp. "What are you doing?" Sanyukta was breathless. Randhir look down at her hand keenly before meeting his other palm with hers. Within seconds their hands joined and fingers entwined. Then he look up in her eyes with questioning eyes. Sanyukta couldn't even gulp anymore because of the intensity of his gaze but his question hit her like a wave. "Did his fingers fit better than mine?"

A sandhir story on the Indian system of marriages.. In most parts of the world, when one gets married, they choose - who they get married to, when they get married and how. But things are a little (umm....may be a lot....) different in India. When you decide to get married Errr ..wait... YOU don't decide to get married here . The others around you decide , when you should get married and whom you would get married to . Here ... , it all depends upon your social status in the marriage market where nobody is bothered about the 'person' being 'right'. It is just assumed that a person belonging to a certain family or having a particular social status, with certain looks (and may be qualification) is the right person for you irrespective of your choice. I understand that the above stated scenario may not be true for all cultures / families in India, but there is no denying the fact that it is true for most........a major part of India.
