She couldn't save her sister! Ja'ori was just a little too late and could only watch as her single remaining family got whisked away into the slave trade. Everyone said that Sals would be lost forever. Although Jay was never going to listen to their rambling. Ja'ori did something crazy. Something her mother, a captain of the guard would not approve. Jay become an outlaw to fight the outlaws. Scrounging up the twenty year old battle armour her mother used to wear Ja'ori dives right into the world of pirates, outlaws, mercenaries and bounty hunters. All to find Sals. To keep her little sister safe. But in the intergalactic underworld, it's kill or be killed.

Have any of you ever checked out SciKick before? No? Well you totally should. Anyway, this is just a short story to do with one noble superhero and one evil villain. Every living thing is dying on earth. Organisms, plants, insects, birds, man and, everything else that's a living thing, is dead or dying. An ancient disease has waken in our bodies that has been around since the beginning of earth. Anything that breaths in earth's air or, drinks the water or even has been born on earth were all doomed. So, the last of the humans have sent a time capsule into space, hoping and praying that anyone would find the capsule and find the heart to help the living things on earth. I am about to be sacrificed! It is necessary for my planets survival. If I don't then the God that lives in our sun will shallow our planet whole. But a man is here telling me that our planet isn't worth saving. He is giving me an out of a path that I had no choice in, but if I do everyone will die! What would you do? This is a short story that I wrote for an @SciKick competition the goal was to involve 1000 in some way and keep the word count under 1000. I managed to do both in a story that I am pretty happy with. However I will let you guys make the decision on it.

He has no memory of things being any different than they are now - broken. The one thing he does know is, if things stay how they are, there is no way off of the island. Thousands of cycles have proven it true. The only thing he can do now is wait... wait and hope for something to change. Oh, how he wished that things would just change.... Until the day they did.
