Knowing that your parents hate you more than the entire world, including the entire Malfoy family and the now-dead Lord Voldemort, makes you wonder why? But when you get answers you don't believe, you stop asking, and try to be perfect. Perfect grades, Perfect spells, clean room. When none of that works, you give up.
