Esper Bagery knows what she is but she hasn't told her best friend yet. He would never believe her family is part seahorse-mermaid from the ocean. To test how he would respond, she asks a genuine but odd question, prompting an answer that she wasn't expecting. After a few years of not being friends, strange events start to happen that pulls Jude back into her life and not exactly the normal human one she leads. Jude had liked Esper for a long time but he didn't think she'd like him. Then, what seemed like overnight, Jude seemed to become a good looking man. When Esper asks a strange question, his response was anything but smooth. After telling his girlfriend about it, he is locked in an odd relationship with her that won't allow him to be with Esper even as friends. But soon, things begin to happen that push him back towards her and Jude finds himself caught in a life that he never wanted to think of. Kylie Carter (18), a nerdy, senior high school student and slightly shy teenager gets pulled along by her mother, Mrs Carter to the birthday party of an old family friend, Mrs Jones. At the birthday party, Kylie meets Ashton Jones (21), a handsome, fun loving, university medical student, who is the son of Mrs Jones. After meeting Ashton, and telling him she has trouble with biology as a school subject, he offers to help her prepare for her upcoming, end of the year biology test, which Kylie agrees to. On the day of their meeting, Ashton teaches Kylie about what she needs to know about biology and gives her a test afterwards. At the end of the session, Kylie gets a little nervous of her situation and gets quite tipsy on the champagne that Ashton brought. Then Ashton, who is a little tipsy himself and Kylie, end up having sex. To her shock, after a while, Kylie finds out she is pregnant. Kylie decides to tell her best friend and Ashton's baby sister, Katie Jones (17), a nerdy, senior high school student as well. They both eventually agree that having the baby is a good option. The excitement and tenseness of the situation is short-lived after Kylie gets diagnosed with a unique immune disorder which will make it impossible for her to have her baby. Ashton then searches the internet for possible solutions, and after searching for months he eventually finds what he thinks is the solution. What he finds, is an English medical doctor, who is willing to do a new experimental medical procedure in which he could help Ashton to ultimately, carry, and conceive Kylie's extreme premature baby. Going through surgery will come at huge cost, though, for Ashton and Kylie. Will Katie's baby girl, and now, love of her life Ashton, live to see another day, or will they breathe their last breath in the surgery room? This story contains some light sexuality.

Little Seahorse was always told stories by his grandparents about how the oceans gleamed with fresh salty water. How the coral within the reef's would sing proudly to the seaweed. How everyone would live in a peaceful harmony. But in the end they would always say how unfortunate the times had changed.

~One Story. An Ocean of Changes.~ We may have tried, succeeded or failed at stopping the use of plastic, but do the innocent lives under water know anything about what we're doing or trying to do up here? ____________________________________________ "Have you heard about the killer roses, Shelly?" "...um no nana. " "It was a long, long time ago when they first appeared, when the Humans started throwing things into our home." _____________________________________________ This story is an original work of fiction, my ripple in the ocean that we need to take care of. My official entry into the #PlanetOrPlastic short story competition initiated by @NationalGeographic to create awareness about what plastic can do to our home, our Mother Earth. 04/12/18 : #1 in Water Pollution
