Hongjoong took a lifeboat and rowed out into the open sea. Only a small lantern illuminated the darkness. Then, he stopped and looked up towards the stars. "It is not wise to look at the sky," said a voice, sweet and deep, coming from the water. Hongjoong lowered his gaze and saw him: the merman. He was an ethereal beauty, as luminous as the reflection of moonlight upon the sea.
