JCA1009_
In 2102 the world is a technological and oppressed place. Andrew Drodor, hired by the state of United California to rescue technological relics, begins to feel complex emotions, something that the nanochip implanted in people usually blocks. Without knowing if he is a victim of manipulation, he decides to collect a large sum of credits to illegally extract his nanochip and live ostracized.
The opportunity arises when he finds an old cell phone that could cover the expenses of his operation. However, the device is hacked and a message comes from a woman who implores to be rescued. Will it be real or a government trap, which already knows his plans?
Confused, Andrew must decide if he does what he thinks, escape, or what he feels, save the girl he now has sympathy for. Although there is a terrifying hidden truth: society is experiencing a technological genocide and Andrew seems to be the key to turning humans into functional automatons to power.
With this novel of the cyberpunk subgenre, the journalist Jorge Anunziato exploits his mastery to create living and realistic worlds, in which history serves as an excuse to propose a critique of the current world and its possible consequences.
