On conscription day of Xaden's 3rd year, not one, but two people are going to cross that parapet and change his life forever. Alvera, the forgotten Riorson child, is walking into her first year in the Riders quadrant, completely underprepared with a target on her back, with nothing keeping her going but the love for her brother she hasn't seen since she was 13 years old.

She has always been her father's daughter, and the lure of dragon back beckoned her just as it once did him. Only, their family was very small in number now, and she was the last one capable of defending their name, thus her family's legacy rested solely in her hands. To fail, means to diminish the Drascars' reputation. Fortunately for Lethe, failure has never been an option.

Maple Arienvale is joining Bagsiath War College. She now has to survive the cutthroat world of Bagsiath while being discriminated and targeted due to her relic.
