BONUS: A taste of what #ShadowOfThePastTrilogy started out as when I first started writing it in English in 1981. Started first as 'The Girl From Space', this was my second attempt at writing this story. Here in 'The Green Eyes' Secret', Mickmi is a very different girl, she didn't have amnesia, and she's the only alien here. I have posted the few chapters I have in this version, and pretend I'm not a little embarrassed by my very, very, VERY old writing... I was just a teen when I wrote it! But I'm pleasantly surprised that I already managed to create mystery and tension even then (I literally have not read this notebook it's in for decades!). I will not finish this book, nor will I be editing it except for grammatical errors. I'm sharing this for my readers who are curious how my story originally started. I'm also sharing it as an encouragement to writers who are dissatisfied with their own writing... to show that if you keep at it... if you put down your story and return to it, even years later, if you read a lot and learn how to wield your craft, your tool -- that's your language -- something wonderful might just happen! I'm proof of it! Don't give up!
