I thought I knew this novel-its plot, its characters, and even its so-called cliché of an ending. Most importantly, I wasn't even supposed to wake up in this novel. But I'm stuck in here anyway, forced to deal with a story that seems to have decided it doesn't care about its own plot anymore, and somehow, I'm the one being dragged into the mess. At first, everything seemed exactly as I remembered it. The characters were where they were supposed to be, the story was moving along as it should, and I thought staying out of it would be easy. Then why do things that shouldn't even exist live in this world? Why are these insolent NPCs constantly coming to me for help? And why does trouble seem to have a personal grudge against me? I'm not even part of the plot, yet somehow I keep ending up in places I shouldn't be, around people I definitely shouldn't be involved with, and dealing with problems that were never supposed to exist in the first place. Maybe I didn't know this novel as well as I thought I did. Will I survive long enough to find out what went wrong?
