This is my entry for the #ShawRocketFundContest. We were required to write the opening chapter of a teen fiction/young adult story that aims for diversity. Sam's life were never easy, buy she never thoght that falling in love will make here life so much harder.

Everything I wanted to say, everything that I couldn't. Just honest feelings from a dishonest person. Oblivion: the state of being unaware or unconscious of what is happening around one. . Excerpt from book: She was the one who brought white flowers, who cried and cried at his grave. The flowers knew nothing of what had trespassed, but yet they embraced his grave as their own and lay there till they withered and passed away. No flower met another anymore. Each one was buried in their own graveyard. Their own destiny, their own world. But all met the same end. Each and every flower withered and withered till it could not be found anymore. Charlie Wyatt came from the small town of Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Her family was known for their outstanding herd of Black Angus beef cattle and her rodeo skills. When a round bale of hay fell on her Dad in the hay mow, Charlie's life took a dramatic change. The best rehab clinic in the country was in Toronto, so it meant a major life change. Her family reluctantly sold their herd, and farm and made the move across the country. The costs of houses in Toronto were beyond high, but the Wyatt family had no choice. Mr. Wyatt couldn't stand living in an apartment, so a house was bought in a place called Oshawa. Charlie had to leave everything about her former life behind, and start over, which wasn't easy. At High School she met two very different friends who were not in the cool club. Lana who called herself a ''Militant Black Girl'' and Jake, a very intelligent but introverted guy. Charlie would have to work her way through a new school, new rules, and a different way of life. Something not easy to navigate while worrying about her Dad on a daily basis.

An 18 year old girl was stolen at birth and as she was walking down the streets she runs into her fathers right side man. Her father is a mafia king and she is the heir to the throne. What will happen when she gets back home and does love spark with the right hand man or does she maybe take over the family business?

When Zoe and Rebecca go on a adventure, they discover treasure, so rare and valuable that they packed them in their backpacks, just then an elf kidnapped Rebecca and then she vanished. These teenagers were here not for treasure but for their career, by the help of Dawn and Ellie, would they get their friends back, ? Also, what would the treasures be...

-For the #shawrocketfundcontst- A long time ago there was a land on earth that was at war with another nation. The land had made a floating city that would take them into the sky, and away from the war. Most of the land's citizens went to the city, but some refused. They didn't want to abandon their home, so they stayed and fought with the nation. After years of fighting, the nation found a way to fly and attack the city. The cities ten leaders came down to beg the land's warriors to fight and defend their perfect city. They made a deal with the land's leader that if every year the city would pick one women to marry a son of a leader and bring her family up to the city to keep some of the land's people safe. The city would also provide the land with food and supplies, and if needed, the land would do the same for the city. The land got more damage done everyday, while the city flourished. They kept their promises over the long years and fifty years later, the war continued. There were over a trillion land citizens in the city. Most of the city thought the land's people were disgusting, because of the all the droughts and attacks the land's towns and villages get which made them dirty and starved all the time. And the land's people hated the city. All this history led to the four kids who did something remarkable, and saved the world.

It's hard growing up in the word of today, a global pandemic, forest fires, earthquakes but everyone said 2021 would be better, but oh man they were wrong. Emily Fuller , Chase Walker and Kat Brown are 15 year olds in the world of 2021, but will they be able to survive this fallen world of destruction?

Rosa lives in a prison. It isn't called a prison, of course, but she stays in a room with cement walls and bars on the window, so it's a prison. But she's beginning to see that's never going to happen. If Rosa wants out of this prison, she's going to have to escape. Daniel lives in a cabin in the middle of a forest in the middle of nowhere. Though he's so young, he has never just been a normal child. He's a Keeper of Archesia and he has a duty to fulfill. Whatever is in that chest in the corner of the room, he has to guard it with his life. Because if he doesn't, people will die. History proves that. But when he finally opens the box and discovers what's inside it, he can no longer stop himself, he has to get out of here, he has to see the world. When the two meet, the world is thrown into chaos. Can Rosa finally learn to control the demon inside of her? And if she can't, does Daniel have the power to stop her from destroying the world? #ShawRocketFundContest

A group of teens from different planets are forced to unite to create a habitable environment on a new planet. Teens from each of the seven planets are chosen to help the expansion of their colony as find more resources for all the planet's survival. The story is told from the main character, Cassia's point of view. She and the rest of the teens chosen must learn how to survive on their own and find enough resources for the planet and the other planet's in the colony. Cassia's story highlights the struggles they encounter and the pressure they must face saving the rest of Earth's survivors. Toronto has never been a safe city. From muggings to murders, Arya Patel has always been surrounded by crimes. Just wanna quickly point out that cover, though. That's some nice MS Paint art, don't you think? Took me longer than it should have, but hey, you can't rush perfection.

Read and find out.. "Hello, this is Doctor Percy Green and I'm writing this as a warning to all. You're not safe! You never really were in the first place, but I'm getting ahead of myself now. Let me explain, I work for the S.S.C.U. and I know you probably have not heard of it and I know it sounds like some made up place, but S.S.C.U. stands for "Supernatural Subject Containment Unit" and it is very real. I've worked here for ten years and I am in charge of the resident's health and well-being. Thinking about it, residents may not be the right word for who or what exactly we hold in here. The creatures and the people that live here are all prisoners, most of which are being kept here against their will. They are locked away to ensure the safety of the public and to stop mass hysteria from spreading all over the globe. Some of these entities seem to come straight from your nightmares. They are the reason you cannot sleep with your feet outside of the covers at night, the reason you feel you must close your closet door before going to bed. They are the monsters that had haunted your mind as a child and still spark fear in your subconscious to this day. Worst of all they are just as real as you and me."

In this universe there are stories and people are randomly summoned to be the heros. Alice, Jones, Miller is an average girl she is called to be the hero of Tevara by Lady Anna Matthews to beat King Daniel Ross to collecting the 12 scepters of Kronos. Tevara is a world created by me as are all the characters

Here are the four ways of how to show a character's culture without being a stereotype and to avoid writing cliches.

A TWISTED LOVE STORY OF TWO PEOPLE THAT MEET EACH OTHER BY CHANCE, OR WAS IT ALL BUT A PLAN OF ESCAPE? ~~~ A woman sigh in frustration while the other says, "You have to execute plan C!!! We can't contact each other for the mean time, our show is at stake! Play well, Two!!! And I'll finish the rest." The person continues, "Until then, you have to play according to the plan. Secrets cannot go out. Outsiders are outsiders, don't ever consider them as insiders or else, this plan will also fail." The woman then replied, "Alright, I admit this one is my bad. I'm sorry. But, c'mon! That was just a kid--an infant if I may say! I saved that infant's life, and still this is my fault??!" The person then said, "They were chasing you! You could've been dead if Five and Eight didn't get you on time!!" "Shut it!!! It's a relief that all of you are alive! While, here I am trying to hack into the place that all of you guys went to!! And now, you guys are all an ass! Alright, we failed! FAILED!!!" another person interrupts in irritation. "Alright, guys! I QUIT!" someone says and then leaves.
