JRINCKENS
David Rosenthal was the most brilliant astrophysicist of his generation, until his radical "Spatial Interpretation Theory" turned him into the laughingstock of the scientific community.
Today, he's a broke janitor at the very university where he once packed lecture halls to capacity. Hidden away in the basement, he secretly intercepts illegal, cryptic signals from deep space. They're chaotic and incomprehensible. He senses there's something behind them, but he has no idea what.
The truth:
The ESA secretly stole his designs and used them to build Galileo 2, a space station at the edge of the Solar System. Many of its crew members are listed as missing, or dead. Now the abandoned ghost station has suddenly begun transmitting highly complex data back to Earth.
The military and the ESA drag the terrified janitor into space.
But before he even reaches the station, it happens.
In the middle of the void, he collides with another spacecraft that appears out of nowhere.
