I stopped pacing and went to the bedroom to fetch my phone and pack a small bag for me and Jackson. He followed. Of course he did. As I put clothes and my phone charger in my bag, I call my best friend. "Anna, I need to come over for a few... Okay. I'll be over in a few. Thanks. Love you." I hung up and finished packing both bags. "Woah, wait," he said.
