"न किञ्चित् शाश्वतम्।" Everything must end. Ranisaheb Tarini Bai Gaikwad of Nagpur knew that everything must end. Afterall, her näivet erased with time, her childhood died within when the weight of a dagger fell in her hands. Tarini pushed away her bitterness to fight. That was what she did as Ranisaheb Tarini Bai Gaikwad. She fought as a warrior and wished to wash away presence of unwelcomed guests from her Motherland. Serving Swarajya was her life's goal and Tarini would do anything to fulfill as the trusted Chief of the great Chhatrapati. But, when the only way in the grand chess of pushing away the Mughal invaders from her country is marrying a man who harboures hate for her just as she despises him, the Mughals might not be her only foes. ================================= "सारज्ञः भव।" Be realistic. Shrimant Sardar Ekansh Holkar of Kashi knew it by heart to always be realistic. When dices of Snakes and Miracles became lessons on how life could topple over, a child had wished for a childhood and gotten reality in return. Ekansh pushed away his tenderness to rule his state with the security never seen before and a sword ready to drink blood of whoever dared to defile his Motherland. That was what he did as Shrimant Sardar Ekansh Holkar. Swarajya, was his life's goal. The life goal of a puppet was freedom, if not for himself then his Motherland. As a Rastrasevak, he would do all it to free his land from the Mughal invasions. However, in politics, one must sacrifice something to win over something much useful, to destroy something much powerful. If that sacrifice is marrying a woman who has blood in the lines of her dagger holding hands, Ekansh would still do that for his country. - 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐣𝐲𝐚 -

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is one of the greatest warriors and visionaries in Indian history. He laid the foundation of the Maratha Empire in the 17th century and inspired countless generations with his bravery, leadership, and governance. His strategic military tactics, administrative reforms, and emphasis on self-rule made him a legendary figure in Indian history. The Rise of the Maratha Empire Shivaji Maharaj started his conquests at the young age of 16 when he captured the Torna Fort in 1645. This marked the beginning of his empire. He soon took over Rajgad, Purandar, and several other forts in the Sahyadri mountain range. His rapid expansion alarmed the Bijapur Sultanate, which sent the great general Afzal Khan to defeat him. Conflict with the Mughals and Escape from Agra In 1666, Aurangzeb invited Shivaji Maharaj to Agra, pretending to offer him an honorable position in the Mughal empire. However, when Shivaji arrived, he was insulted and imprisoned in the Agra Fort. Shivaji devised an ingenious escape plan-he and his son, Sambhaji, hid in fruit baskets meant for charity and slipped out of the heavily guarded fort. This daring escape humiliated Aurangzeb and strengthened Shivaji's reputation as an invincible ruler. Religious Tolerance and Respect for Women Unlike many rulers of his time, Shivaji Maharaj was deeply secular. He respected all religions and never destroyed places of worship. He recruited Muslims, Hindus, and people of different backgrounds into his army purely based on merit. Additionally, he was a strong advocate for women's safety and empowerment. He enforced strict laws to protect women from exploitation, and any soldier found mistreating women faced severe punishment.
