Mr-Calma
This short story follows Angelo's journey after Howard's sacrifice. Angelo, haunted by the apocalyptic events in Baguio, seeks to understand the threat posed by The Peeking One and the Entropic Pantheon. His investigation leads him back to Pampanga.
Driven by this purpose, he decides to research Howard's past, hoping to uncover a connection between his powers and the looming cosmic threat. He talks to teachers. After discovering Howard's short stories filled with hints of cosmic horror, Angelo becomes convinced that Howard knew more than he let on and was attempting to warn the world.
Angelo then turns his attention to Howard's grandfather, Norman Santos, who was considered mad. Through a local historian, Angelo learns about the Santos family's ancestral home on a remote island in the Visayas region and rumors of pre-colonial rituals and underground chambers. Determined to find answers, he travels to the island.
At the Santos family's dilapidated ancestral home, Angelo discovers a hidden passage leading to ancient underground chambers filled with carvings and symbols. He finds a copy of "The Apocalyptic Gods," the book that drove Norman Santos mad. Touching the book, Angelo experiences visions of the Entropic Pantheon and realizes it serves as a gateway to their power. He destroys the book, severing a connection to the Pantheon, but knows The Peeking One remains a threat.
Back in Pampanga, Angelo shares his experiences with friends and family. Initially dismissed, he eventually convinces some of them of the impending danger. Together, they form a group dedicated to fighting The Peeking One, researching lore, studying occult texts, and seeking out others who have encountered the supernatural.
In the end, His companion are separated, all those say saved are controlled by the peeking one, and Angelo recognizes that The Peeking One is winning and succumbs to its influence. The story ends with Angelo's mind shattered, becoming another puppet of The Peeking One.
