Basically you're in Banana Fish and you're going to fix it all. This is meant to mend my still broken heart from Banana Fish way back since 2020. Old chapters are still up and very...bad. But I'm in the process of fixing this trust guys (Cross posting it to Ao3 ya'll should check it out there too pls tags make more sense) (Also I'm in the process of making a new cover bear with me)

Eiji can't believe Ash is dead. He's spent two years trying to come to terms with it, but it still feels like a fresh wound. Looking for closure and answers to *why* Ash had to die, Eiji returns to New York City. He sets out to write a book about Ash's life, and the societal injustices that drove such a kind person to such a dark road. On the way he interviews people Ash knew and tries to weave their stories together as he learns more about the boy who stole his heart. Nothing sexual, lots of sadness and fluff, basically I just wanted an excuse to write both post-Banana Fish angst and pre-Banana Fish backstory. Also Bones is trans because I said so.

What happens when Eiji gets kidnapped by none other than Dino? Ash obviously comes to the rescue. But little does he know that Eiji isn't quite the same as he was since he last saw him. He's lost his memories and to make matters worse something else has happened. Something that Dino has done to make Eiji the perfect pawn to hurt Ash. Cover Art is not mine! (though I freaking wish I had that kind of artistic talent) and sorry if the summery and story sucks, I'm new to the whole "writing fanfic thing" :)

I teleported most of the main characters from banana fish universe to react to Eiji's life before the whole banana fish fiasco and different au's of them. Let's see what new things come to light and how it affects the course of actions. P.s- The characters teleported are from an au of mine which you will learn through the course of the fic.

Everything is now over and everything will be back to normal. That should go for all who suffered the long time of war and pain, wins and losses, gains and loses. But Eiji is an exception. It's now time to return to his homeland, Japan. He feels a void in his heart as he boards the plane and he knows very well what can fill that void. It's that person he shared all his pains with. The only person he can't bear to lose, the only person he desires to see before he leaves. But he can't turn back now. He's made up his mind and he knows what he's doing is for the best. "Eiji." A voice rings in his ears. He knows that voice. He knows who called him and he listens to it. "I'm sorry Ibe-san but I'm going down." He doesn't want to leave and regret this for the rest of his life. He needs to see Ash right now. He needs to be with him. So he makes a decision and takes the risk. But, did he make the right choice? Or did he make a choice that will make him want to reset time and wish he never went off the plane?
