From the prologue and first chapter I think you can already see where this story is heading...but I plan to give it a happy ending! (Probably..) Beefleaf modern AU! Xie Lian couldn't imagine meeting his old friend again after a century and a half. (A distant post-canon where Shi Qingxuan becomes a demon, and He Xuan still doesn't know why he exists in this world) - The title from the Chinese legend 精卫填海 (jīngwèi tián hǎi) - "Jingwei Tries To Fill the Sea". - The narrative will span two timelines, both post-canon but separated by over a hundred years. Rare pre-canon flashbacks will be denoted in italics to avoid confusion. - The main characters from "The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation" will be mentioned in the story but are not central and will appear closer to the end. - In the early chapters, there may appear to be slight OOC for the main characters.
