The lights flicker, the streets fill with disturbing figures and the line between reality and fantasy seems to blur. It's Halloween, the night when nightmares come to life, where even the harmless can transform into something frightening. But what happens when an innocent prank like a macabre decoration turns out to be a horror far more real? In this story, three brothers (Felix, Sully and Milo) together with their two sisters (Maya and Ava), find themselves in a living nightmare with a group of friends, acquaintances, strangers and even pets, trapped in the garden of their house, forced to face terrifying, bloodthirsty creatures to survive the night that soon becomes far more terrifying than it should be. BACKSTORY: The idea for this story came to my sisters. They convinced me to write it so they could read it before going to sleep. I spent a couple of months thinking about a plot, characters (some based on real people and some fictional) and a sequel coming soon. Let me know in the comments what you think about this story!

My full name is Amity Rosaline Banks! I have an older brother, Tommy and two other sisters. The older sister (by a month and a few days) is Skylar and the youngest is Lacey. I don't really like socializing (becuase of my fear of thinking whether people would like me for who I am nor not) and moving! Anything but moving! For the first time in a long time, he was startled by such sudden utterance. He was never one to show much emotion if it benefited the other party solely, but somehow, his well-behaving little cousin stood here and saw right through him without even as much as a glance in his direction. Her small fingers danced across piano keys, starting off in simple reprise, but soon stopping, stilled as they sat in silence. She was the first to move, Ego being the ever-so observant one, watching as her face turned into view. Her eyes were wide in a certain childlike naivety, but her expression was neutral. However, that isn't what stood out to him. "Father says liars are bad people," She started, a translucent, animated black flame fanning around the very edge of her irises. "I think it's far worse to shield yourself with the truth, Ego."
