Reyna Blaine has been swimming before she could walk and wearing bathing suits instead of t-shirts as a toddler.
Needless to say, her life revolved around swimming.
Senior year is her chance to win the state swimming competition for the last time, and to solidify a Stanford athletic scholarship. Her plan is to be the best Girls Swimming Captain her school's ever seen, and show the boys that you don't need a penis to be an athlete.
But things take a turn when a terrible event ruins her family forever, and now she and her twin brother are shipped off to live at a family friend's house. Which, coincidentally is her brother's best friend, Conner Donovan.
Two team captains under the same roof is never a good combination, especially if they're playing the same sport. Both are hotheaded, fluent in sarcasm, and more stubborn than mules.
Can Reyna survive, or would she drown herself in the Waterhouses' backyard pool?
