Every five hundred years, a girl goes to sleep to channel the Earth's natural, light magic, and help her society fight off dark magic. Without her slumber, dark creatures such as vampires, werewolves, dark fey, sprites, and witches, would take over the world. She became friends with him under one condition, she does not sleep, and in return he would play with her all night. With excitement she agreed and played with him for months. Clara grew attached to her new friend and found him funny and weird because of his failed attempts at scaring her. Though after her visit to the doctor her mom tells her it's time to get rid of her imaginary friend. Except Boo isn't an imaginary friend. So when Clara tried to break her friendship with Boo things go wrong fast. In exchange for wanting him to leave and let her sleep Boo does the worst. In addition to scaring her senseless he strips Clara of her vision. Right after she becomes blind she is able to sleep, but as she grew older she began sleeping too often. The doctors diagnosed her with Narcolepsy at fifteen. Despite her blind condition she dreamt up so many things in her sleep, and slowly began to build her own world. After twelve years Clara has dreamt up beings and places that are precious to her. Twelve years of precious dreams. Twelve years too many according to Boo. Clara's in for a rude awakening. It all starts when she wakes up feeling a mysterious someone sitting on her bed. If there is one thing you shouldn't do its break a promise because the consequences can be a living nightmare. Especially when the promise you break is with the Boogeyman.
