Just random ideas for better writers of Snape. I do not think I like writing fanifcs. But for anyone who likes Snape, you can be inspried by some of these. Snape's character is built on a paradox: he is verbally cruel, bitter, and often vindictive, yet beneath that armour lies profound bravery, self‑sacrifice, and a fierce protective instinct. His cruelty is a trauma response-a defence forged in childhood abuse, poverty, and relentless bullying. He is not nice, but he is good: he saves lives (including his enemies'), he risks everything for a cause he doesn't fully believe in, and he spends his entire adult life atoning for a single catastrophic mistake. Just various scemarios where Snape defects earlier, not because of Lily. I think reading the general discoures around Harry Potter, it reduces Snape to either a lovesick fool or someoen obseessed with Lily. Thse are just fics about the scenario, where he doesn't defect ebcause of Lily or a prophecy. Or only focuses on Lily. That is just one part of him.
