Her father was a hero at the university of Michigan winning championships and even playing a season in the major leagues with the Detroit tigers until an injury put him out. Whitney and her dad are the best of friends and a lot of his raw athletic talent manifested within Whitney. Whitney has her sites set on a criminal justice path and will in fact play softball at the university of Michigan. Whitney has always been focused on the prize and one of those has always been to play for the Olympic national softball team, but with recent events she too is faced with understanding the new road she was laid.
