My first public fan fiction, so please enjoy, and criticism is welcome if it's polite and good intentioned. It was a normal day for Soul and Maka, until the mail came in. Maka suddenly finds herself shut out of Soul's life and to top it off, Soul decides he's leaving for a while! Will Maka find out what Soul is hiding or what was in the mysterious letter delivered to her best friend? BTW: I don't own Soul Eater, just the idea and I don't intend on arguing with anyone over ideas, so don't be mean! :P

Soul "Eater" Evans, a weapon has been inlove with his meister Maka Albarn. After being late to school one day, they meet up with Lord Death's son, Death the Kid and tells Soul about a dance to celebrate the defeat of the Kishin, Asura. Soul plans to ask Maka to be his date for the dance and plans to confess his love. Will Soul have the courage to ask Maka to the dance?
