People are escaping, in hope of a better future. Hope for better jobs and work. Hope that they can support their families. Still, it's hard to leave loved ones behind, and keeping in touch is hard, even with letters.

A trip to Mexico was something that Enola dreamed about ever since she was 7 years old. She dreamt about the sunshine kissing her delicate skin, About the clear waters between her toes, and most importantly the deliciously authentic, exotic food making her tastebuds dance. When Enola wins a trip for one to Cancun through an online raffle, She's no doubt the happiest girl in the world- That is until her trip takes an unfortunate turn and the only person to help her is a stranger with a heart full of kindness and a one way ticket back to Cali. (This is my southwest contest short story!) I hope this story encourages you to pay it forward! Whether it be in large or small amounts, an act of kindness in any shape or form, goes a long way!

Based on a true story, as a girl flies between her hometown and family in New York to her dream career opportunity realm of Los Angeles, she has to overcome fear, anxiety, loneliness, and external troubles to make it safely. The trip to Jacksonville Florida to visit my Grandmother's brother changed my life , events happened that showed me the true meaning of family .

I was a stay at home mom in the small town.I was home alone one of the first times ever, I heard a LOUD: " BANG BANG BANG" I jumped nearly three feet in the air, my heart beat so loudly,I had never been so scared in my own home or heard such a loud knock in my life.A guy came back and handed me papers in a plain looking envelope.He explained to me that it was registered mail from the Judge Joe Brown show I was in shock. I went from a scared state to truly calm. A package for this young stay at home mom from a famous tv series was truly in my little hands that were still trembling from it all? I've always considered myself a happy go lucky kinda small town gal. I couldn't believe this though! A scout just happened to be at our local court in the middle of nowhere looking at cases in our town and took my case up for national t.v! My husband convinced me it was a WIN / WIN and told me to pretend it was just a vacation and away I went with my best friend. We flew from: Minneapolis to LAX in Hollywood California! The Hotel was to the nines, and the case went smoothly even Judge Joe Brown: found me without accountability. Returning home at the LAX I just stopped dead in my tracks at the airport,I pointed him out to my friend coolest vest ever! We walked closer and toward the overcrowded dining area, tables were full of leftovers, dishes, and garbage.He noticed me and cleared a table after he offered to share with us. He made room and we sat and talked, It was a most memorable travel experience for me. We both loved disc golf and I told him my little home in Minnesota was on disc golf course. Then this cool guy told me he had a private jet,he had thought I was a local movie star,he told me he designed his own denim up-cycled vest he was wearing. He actually told me he just got out of jail, was a musician our energy was electric, we connected at a soul level, I had never experienced prior to this act of kindness!

She lost her brother in the army but his best friend goes along with her on a road trip to go toward a destination her brother wrote to her. she isnt very fond of his best friend. but they soon become really close.

Hope Anderson was on her own again. She'd manage to hitch a ride into a new town. This time things were different and she wasn't alone. Her last love tryst left her pregnant and broke. The town welcome her like family and she soon find that traveling has led her home.

This a one chapter story on how an elderly woman opened her home for me in my time of need.

Johnathan had his first journey to Chicago after living for 7 years outside the country. He never believe in any kindness because what comes in his life is just his deepest nightmares, something that he never wanted to happend. He made his life as a photographer. He shoot any objects that feels all alone, just like him. Until one day, he almost got himself killed by leaving his heart medicine at his apartment back in San Francisco. Should he ask for a help? Or should he let somebody to help?
