Keith has an eating disorder. He doesnt want to eat, and only does when Shiro makes him. Lance and the other paladins of Voltron dont seem to notice or care at first. But, when Lance starts noticing how Keith avoids training, is getting skinnier, and so on.... I dont want to spoil XD (not to mention but it's my first book so it's gonna have lots of mistakes. No matter how much they cared for her, she couldn't find it within herself to trust them. Why? Well all Katie knows is abandonment. Her brother and father left. Her mother stopped caring. And every kid that ever "befriended her" betrayed her at one point. Her DOG was the only one that never left. Never left her side, never let her be by herself, he was always there. How much do you think that says about her trust issues? About people she's been close with? She doesn't want to get close to her team. In fear of abandonment, betrayal, and distrust. Katie just doesn't want to risk it. She isn't close with them so why bother them with her problems? She gets hurt? She bandages her own wounds. She gets sick? She sucks it up. She goes through several anxiety attacks a day? She hides them. She cuts herself to relieve stress? Hides that too. "Nobody needs to know." Is the exact phrase that runs through her head throughout that day. What happens when her and Kieth get in a fight? Allura sends them to connect their minds of course. Who's watching them? Why the space dad we all know and love of course. "Pidge who are those people and why are they cutting you with a knife? Why are you crying in that one?" " Katie...why are your arms all cut up in that picture? " "And why are you holding a knife to your arm?" " Why are you asking so many questions....? "
