Jaime Kelly, also known as "Books", is the leader of the Lower Manhattan Newsies. She loves her Newsies like they're her family. Every 8 Days she goes to see her best friend, Spot, the "King of Brooklyn". Everything seems to be going pretty normal until one day when she and her brother, Jack, start a strike against "The World". But what happens when memories of her past starts to resurface? And what happens when she makes a bet with " King Idiot" that in 8 days he could get her to say 8 letters? Note: ALL CHARACTERS MENTIONED IN THE 1992 FILM BELONG TO DISNEY. I DO NOT OWN ANY CHARACTERS EXCEPT FOR JAIME AND ANY OTHER CHARACTERS NOT MENTIONED IN THE NEWSIES 1992 FILM!

Jolynn Morris was the twin sister to Charlie (or Crutchy). They were both outcasts in Queens. Crutchy because he was a crip and Jolynn because she was his twin. But she's the best sister he could've asked for. And when they found the newsies, they took them in with open arms. She remains to the day, the only girl newsie. But, she couldn't care less. She often finds herself leading with Jack. When the Newsies find themselves on strike, she meets a fellow leader of Brooklyn. She finds him very interesting and can't help but stay away. It's been over a year since the strike has settled and the newsies haven't had any problems with Pulitzer since. But that's not to say that they didn't all have problems outside of work. Jack and Katherine were unhappy together. They didn't feel the love towards each other that they used to feel. Yet they were too scared to say something to one another. Crutchie wanted for his long-time crush to love him back, although he knew that would never happen. Still, one could dream. Davey and Les's father had been severely injured by an incident at work. He wasn't so lucky this time around and passed away due to blood loss. This drove their mother into a state of insanity, forcing Davey and Les to pack up their things and leave. They now live on the streets with their fellow newsies, struggling to support themselves just like every other newsie. Their lives were still pretty crappy and hopeless, but hey, they were still alive and that was what mattered. Then, a new kid shows up at the gates of The World and sends their lives into chaos once more.

When something unexpected happens during the newsboy strike, will Jack and the other newsies be able to fix the situation? How will they react when they find out that helping some of their brothers is going to be harder than they thought? And will Jack and David be able to help when they hit bumps in the road? A quick note: I started this (3/7/18) when i was a sophomore in high school, so my writing isn't at all up to par. Constructive criticism is appreciated! Updates will be erratic but i will try my best. Hope you enjoy!!

This takes Spot by surprise, and in moments a search party is assembled. Yet, the truth is harder to find than you may expect. Especially with a lot of Newsies curious about where Race was and the truth behind it all. Because, really, who is Racetrack Higgins? Sunny is an outcasted newsie. He feels as if everyone always rejects him. Never knowing where to go. I honestly don't know a lot about this fandom so feel free to correct me! This is my first time writing in this genre, so if you like the story i'm very happy! Any questions you can ask.
