Ramirez's stomach twisted. "Dispatch," he whispered hoarsely into his radio, forcing his voice steady. "Officer Ramirez, 9th and Mercer. I need an ambulance. I found an infant. Abandoned. Possible injury." . . "They found a baby in Gotham," Bruce finally said. "Abandoned in an alley. They ran a DNA test... and it matched you." Dick froze, the world around him suddenly quiet, as if the city itself held its breath. "What?" he said sharply, disbelief washing over him. "That's impossible."

From there I grew up, there I spent 2 years of my life waiting for that ' forever family' that the caretakers promised me. But I was never chosen. When I turned 3 the orphanage got shut down and the children who lived there where placed in different ones. I somehow ended up in a place far from England, I was placed in an orphanage in Gotham city. It was in Gotham city where I realised the evil and violence in this world. Me being the new kid from England bought a lot of unwanted attention and it wasn't the good kind of attention, no. This was the kind of attention that got me beaten, abused, starved and treated like a slave. It went on for 2 more years, until I finally plucked up the courage to run away. I waited till my 6th birthday, then that night I packed up the little belongings I had, a toothbrush and toothpaste, my one other set of cloths and a can of beans that I stole from the kitchen. Then at midnight I ran straight for the door. I didn't stop when was outside though, I kept running and running as fast as my legs could take me. I didn't stop until I got into the main city streets. I felt free. I felt like my life was mine. I felt happy. But for the first time in my whole life I felt safe. No more waking up to shouting, no more beatings, no more being bossed around and treated like I was an animal. But little did I know that I might have been better off at the orphanage. I had no idea what was to come next. But all of that was 8 years ago .... I don't own dc or the teen titans, only own my oc ( original character)
