A series of One Shots (and some Short Stories) each named after and inspired by a different Steps single. Simple enough. Hopefully will be a variety of feels and allow you to both giggle and cry while reading them! There are some AUs, and there'll definitely be a few of the ships around as we go along. Melanie and Tyler's baby girl Chrissie has just been bought into their large family. Everything about their lives seems perfect, and as though everyone should be jealous of them, but as we travel with them through the journey of parenthood we find there are many bumps in the road, which put their 'perfect' family on hold. Thousands of kids have gone through parents breaking up then getting re-married. Usually the step parent is pretty nice and manageable but of course you get some who are down right nasty. Meet Kara Hancock. She is seen as pretty quiet and awkward, but if you know her at all, you know that that is not the case. She isn't the most popular or social, so everyone just assumes things about her. They assume perfection of her. But she has her secrets just like everyone else. Then there's Austin Lee. The totally swoon worthy bad boy. Viewed as someone known but not known at the same time. He is also seen as someone with nothing to hide but this couldn't be further from the truth. These two are friends with benefits (if you could even call it that.) They hate each other except for when it comes to the shifting of the sheets because, hey, everyone is the same when the lights go out. What happens when everything is turned upside down? Will they give up and forget about everything they've done? Or will they take those few baby steps to it all being perfect?

Yeah I've decided to write some One Shots (or shorts that are a few more parts) about Steps, and I have no idea why or what's really going to happen in most of them yet so you'll be finding out as I do. Hopefully there'll be something to catch most people's interests. Some of them will be set in the real Steps timeline amongst 90s/2000s era, others in the more recent sections of the Band's history. Some are AUs like (to give some published examples) Victorian Britain or them all being teenagers together. Featuring most of the Steps ships at some point or other (at least that's the plan)! -- Currently features Flara, Fayisa, Lisa×H and Flee. Firstly - Oh god what was I thinking aren't there enough of these in the fandom already? Second - Yes I will be taking requests/suggestions/finding inspiration from others and giving credit on those parts.
