Derek Hale is the black sheep of the family, always has been. That's why he moved to Seattle. Now he's got a job he loves, a nice apartment with an incredibly hot and endearing neighbor, Stiles Stilinski. One night when Derek's overly large and demanding family shows up early for their yearly visit, they run into Stiles, who is accidentally introduced as Derek's boyfriend.

Stiles didn't ask for this, but that didn't mean he didn't want it. He loved the Pack with all his heart, but Derek, not so much. He was an asshole, he may have a good reason to be an asshole but he was still an asshole and now Stiles had to deal with him. Stiles didn't really think that he would ever find a family in a pack of wolves- or a boyfriend, but some things are surprising, aren't they? After a werewolf is thrown into the room Stiles has been trapped in for what seems like forever, it was as if a beacon of hope cut through the poison that had been pumping into his system. Saved by a strangely open werewolf pack, he finds new friendship and even some romance along the way.

Taking a hesitant step foreward, I edge my way over, barely noticing my feet submerging in the freezing blanket of snow on the ground. "Excuse me....?" I whisper, not wanting to startle the hunched over figure. "Are you all right?" I'm met with silence, the only indication that they heard me is that they lifted their head a bit. Nervous, I end up initiating my first line of defense. Rambling. "I-I know this is weird, I mean what part of this isn't? But I figured that it's cold out and it's no weather to be out in. Not to mention I heard there's a snow storm that's suppose to hit the town tonight. So appropriate weather and clothing is really important..." Sighing, I shake my head and look up at the sky in utter defeat when I know I'm going no where. Taking a deep breath, I calm myself down. Turning to the figure, who by now is surely wondering what the hell is wrong with me, I give him a helpless smile. "I'm Stiles. What's your name?" I ask, crouching down next to them. From here I'm able to see his face from the dim street lamp. His strong jaw, stubble growing on his face, and the intense look in his eyes make me feel relieved that I'm crouching down, otherwise my week knees would give out. "Derek....Derek Hale." He's carefully balancing the sandwiches and the two biggest tupperware containers he could find that both had functioning lids when the front door opens and he almost drops everything right there in front of the stupid fountain. If that's Derek Hale, he's definitely not a mountain man.

What if the night they found the body Stiles bumped into Derek Hale? And what if Stiles is a little different to how we've seen him in the show? In my version of events things are a little different and right from the start there is a profound connection between Stiles and Derek.
