This is the story of my friend's experience about going to an event in Las Vegas called ClexaCon. ClexaCon is an annual fan convention that started in 2016 in response to criticism of a lack of representation of the LGBTQ women in film and television. The character Lexa of the CW series the 100 was killed, a move, which was criticized as continuing the "dead lesbian syndrome", Clexacon was organized to "move the conversation forward in a positive way". This event celebrates LGBTQ women in TV and film. For privacy reasons, I have changed my friend's name. It's important to support the LGBTQ community, and as a supporter of my LGBTQ friends and the community, I believe important to write about their experiences. In a series of interviews, I compiled my friend's thoughts, feelings and experience with going to Clexacon in order to present her story in the best way possible. Throughout the writing this story I constantly asked her questions in order to clarify aspects of the story or to reiterate what she told me during the interviews. I ask that as you read this you keep an open mind and to respect her emotions and her story. Do read the Pre- ClexaCon part before going into day 1 and day 2, read Post-ClexaCon once you are done with the Pre Clexacon, Day 1 and Day 2.

It starts from YOU.Then from YOU, a chain reaction is built."You must be the change you want to see in the world."
