They call it "honor." But whose honor survives a woman's death? This poem questions the silence around honor killings - a violence that is not confined to one country, one religion, one caste, or one class. It is everywhere. It hides behind family pride, tradition, and fragile egos. When a woman is killed for loving, choosing, or simply existing outside imposed boundaries, the world often debates "respect" instead of mourning her voice. This piece asks what we refuse to ask: Why does a family's reputation weigh more than a woman's life? Why is there no microphone for the dead girl? Honor does not bleed. Women do.
