Erika has the chance to become somebody more than a Viking and more than one way of making friends. But there are Warlords on the loose with deep vengeance against the Berkians and their dragons. Ever since Storm was a little girl her dream was to become a Chaser. Storm is a 16 year old girl in Faulkand Unit, a group of teenagers in training to become chasers. She is a Walker. Some might say top of her class and with help from her 'friend' Andy (the only Runner in their unit) she gets better and better. NOTE: Walkers, Runners and Chasers are ranks of storm chasers. Faulkand Unit is Storm and Andy's Squadron. Andy's dad is Head Chaser ( that's why he is already a runner) The names of the band 'Black Veil Brides' are used so you could call it a BVB FanFic i guess.. But anyways!.. Rayne was only 15 when the ship carrying her and her parents was swallowed by the waves. Washed up on the shore of an island far from home, Rayne finds herself without friends in an unfamiliar world. There are fire-breathing creatures she has never seen. Dragons. One befriends her, and the two form an easy alliance. Their friendship strengthens when a crisis forces dragon and human to work together. When Rayne is well enough to leave, she sets out on the back of the small, calico dragon, her only friend. The two begin their journey across the Archipelago, searching for Rayne's home, but unknownly getting farther away. However, they farther they go, the more they find truths Rayne would rather not know, and enemies she didn't create. After being rescued by people who called themselves Grimborns, Rayne finds herself confused about their true motive. By the time she has recovered, she had decided to join Krom Grimborn in his attempt to rid the Archipelago of his dragon-slaughtering enemies, the Dragon Riders.
