Ever second spent in the Upside-down would turn her more and more, just like the others. The Whisperer This creates an illusion of safety, turning into something you love and enjoy, luring you in, but once it has a hold of its victims it will reveal itself, chasing you until you can no longer run, then will eat the organs once they could no longer run from it. After all, what's good about toys if they stop working? The Weevil More of a parasite than a monster, this creature buries itself in the deep folds of your mind, planting itself in your memory as it controls its victim's movements by influence their thoughts and draining their blood. It continues to feed off the host until death, moving onto the next body. The Weaver A master illusionist and copycat, this creature could turn into your worst nightmares, feeding off your anguish, fear, and any other negative emotion they could think of. They could mimic anyone to a tee, even disguising itself as the victim's subconscious. The physical manifestation of fear, not just in their mind. This sharp collection of pertinent short stories throws an at times uncomfortable light on cruelty, injustice and persecution that is all too relevant today. But ultimately these stories celebrate the strength and determination to survive at all costs, that exists within all of us.
