Mike and Will have been together for a couple of years, even when distance made loving each other difficult. Will lives in Lenora Hills, California. Mike lives in Hawkins, Indiana. Somehow, they make it work. In the spring of 1990, Will comes home to Hawkins, and like most teens in love, their actions become reckless. By summer, Mike is placed in a position. A pregnant omega whose family head alpha is rejecting his unborn pup. So Mike runs. With only some cash, dreams, and clothes that he stole from friends and left behind by Will, he makes his way to California in the hopes of making it to the Byers' residence before his baby is born. Mike is willing to do everything he can to achieve that dream, because for once he wants to be the one to write the ending of his campaign. Even though there is a chance that there won't be a single waterfall.
