They rebuilt her body. They forgot her heart.
After the fire, Jacqulyn was left with a body stitched together by metal and memory, a bionic arm where her flesh once was, and a scar that climbs across her right side. Her parents, unable to look past what she'd become, turned their love into silence. Her work, the on thing she believe in, betrayed her.
On the streets, Jacqulyn finds a different kind of rhythm, the roar of engines and the burn of asphalt beneath her tires. Racing and drifting became her escape, the only time she feels whole, the only time the world blurs enough for her to breathe. When a gang called The Shattered Skulls offers her a place among them, she wants to believe she's found something real. But trust is a dangerous race of its own, and she's still learning when to brake, and when to let go.
Through loss, anger, and fragile hope, Jacqulyn begins to rebuild, not as the broken girl they let behind, but as someone forged from her own scars. Someone who finally knows what it means to move forward.
