Ada yang datang dalam hidup, tetapi tak pernah benar-benar tinggal. Ada yang membuat kita merasa berarti, lalu pergi seolah semua tak pernah ada. Inilah kisah tentang rasa yang tidak selesai, tentang dua jiwa yang sempat bertemu, namun tak sempat saling memiliki. Bukan karena kurang cinta, tapi karena takdir yang berjalan terlalu cepat, dan waktu yang tak pernah cukup. Almost Was adalah kumpulan kata puitis dari seorang perempuan yang pernah jatuh cinta dalam diam, pada seseorang yang bukan hanya bagian dari masa lalu, tapi juga bagian dari harapan yang tak pernah usai. Setiap kata di sini lahir dari kenangan yang tak terucap, dari rindu yang masih terpendam, dan dari perasaan yang seharusnya mekar, namun terhenti sebelum sempat benar-benar tumbuh. Ini bukan sekadar kisah tentang dua orang yang hampir menjadi satu, tapi tentang segala yang sempat ada, dan apa yang tak sempat dijalani- sebelum akhirnya hanya menjadi kita yang hampir.

Dib was listening his transmission device that could pick up light years away, transmissions from different species around the galaxies, then he gets all his static when he picks up a transmission that one of the aliens what's going to be sent on a secret mission, he jumps off the roof grabbing hold of one of the water pipes, flying straight through an open window, landing into the kitchen sink full of water, 'saying that they're coming.'

It has been 5 years since Zim has last seen Dib. Dib is now 21. He has forgotten about Zim. Zim who remembers all that transpired wonders why he forgot. Why he hasn't seen him. Why did he leave around the time his leaders told him that they tried discarding him? Gir stopped functioning not long after as well. Zim was all alone at his lowest. He worked on a plan. A plan against the tallest that would end up affecting the Irken empire. No one left to stop him. He managed to have a calm conversation with Tak. Together they planned. Zim also contacted the Resisty and some other Irkens. As he is about to commence with the plan he bumps into Dib. Dib felt a familiarity towards the Zim. So he struck up a conversation.
